About the Festival

Music for everyone, rooted in the Scottish Borders

Our Story

A Celebration of Music,
Musicians and Community

The Borders Music Festival is a week-long celebration of music, musicians and composers across a wide variety of genres. We exist to promote local musicians, bring world-class performers to the Borders, and support and encourage young people in developing their love of music.

Our ambition is to establish a flourishing festival that heightens the awareness and appreciation of music in the Scottish Borders - and creates opportunities for talented young musicians to shine.

As our audiences grow, the variety and originality of our musical offering has become widely recognised across Scotland and beyond.

Borders Music Festival is a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SC049870).
