Ross Milligan

Introducing guitarist and composer Ross Milligan

Ross Milligan studied at the Guildhall School of Music and spent several years living and working in London as a freelance guitarist and composer.

He has performed, toured and recorded with a diverse range of artists including-Tricky, Horse, Pee Wee Ellis, Ute Lemper, Mark Knopfler, Barbara Morrison, Van Morrison, BBC Symphony Orchestra, The RSNO, The Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Emily Smith, The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Jeb Loy Nichols, Sir George Martin, Tony Monaco, The London Bach Choir, The Big Sing, The National Youth Jazz Orchestra and many west end and touring shows.

Ross is a versatile composer and has written music for a wide variety of groups and ensembles in many contrasting musical styles. He regularly performs and composes for Comaro Trio, electric guitar quartet Sequence and is prominent on the Scottish jazz scene.

His music has also featured in Film and TV worldwide including:

Ross is based in the Scottish Borders where the beautiful surroundings and landscapes inspire much of his work.
